I believe this story is newsworthy because it is significant, local, timely, and unusual. It is significant and people need to know the roads are closed, its local because its in Ohio, and its occurring right now, and its unusual that the weather would be this bad that the roads cant be dealt with. I would say this article is most about significance and localness.

It occurs in Ohio, its significant to citizens because their environment is directly effected by the pollution and balanced because the report presents different angles of perspectives on the issue. One large part of this article is fame though because it draws on the political power players in the city and Barack Obama.
